Carrick Hill...

As the weather was so glorious on the weekend, we went for a drive to Carrick Hill.
Carrick Hill is a 1930's dream home created in the style of the 17th Century English manor house.
The house is set in nearly 40 hectares of formal gardens and bushland, enjoying spectacular views across Adelaide

The house is filled with a wealth of drawings, sculptures, antiques and paintings.

The friends of Carrick Hill help to continue the tradition of quality in all things.
Their fundraising activities play a vital role in ensuring that Carrick Hill survives for the benefit of future generations.

Many social functions, private viewings, lectures and special events give access
to the delights of the Carrick Hill's house, garden and grounds.

The Manor House
While admission to the garden is now free, there is a fee to view the inside of the house.

How lovely, it almost seems out of place in Australia. It must have been a beautiful place to visit.
