New Project...

I have not had much chance to get near my sewing machine since just before Christmas,
so my first quilt is still not finished.

Ready for quilting.

My niece is expecting a little boy in May, so I have decided to make her a baby quilt.
Stack of material, cut and ready to be put together.

The final design of the coin stack.

Linking up with Lisa, why don't you join me.

Oh how beautiful, Nadege. So colorful and bright - like springtime - which is perfect for the arrival of your nieces baby. Lovely images you've captured here too. :)

This will come in handy for your niece - and I think each time she looks at it she'll appreciate those bright mix of colours. I'm so NOT skills at patchworking and when I look at combinations like this I wonder how patchworkers such as yourself manage to pull it off - lovely.

This is beautiful, Nadege! Your niece is so blessed to have an auntie who is so talented. Patchwork quilts are such a lovely gift for a new baby and a treasure to keep (my Mum made one for each of her 8 Grand-children).
I wish I still had the patience to make a quilt.

Here's what I know about sewing and quilting....nothing. BUT I can admire. The colors you have selected for the new baby are beautiful. I have a quilt made by my great grandmother....I treasure it. I'm sure yours will be treasured one day years from now too.

These are wonderful! I love the depth of field in the first one; it really showcases the process as well as the fabric. And the fabric stack is beautiful both for its colors and for the rawness of the pieces. I used to quilt but just don't have time anymore, so I love seeing what others are making!
