The New Toy...and a First Project

Christmas has come early for me.
Taking advantage of the Christmas sales, I have purchased this Toyota Quiltmaster.
Practicing my straight stitching before my next quilting class.

Today, I learned how to cut and stitch my little squares together.
My first project is a cushion.

I love these black and white fabrics together. A cushion sounds like the perfect start to learning this new craft!

Good for you learning a new skill! I keep saying I need to learn how to sew so I can actually use my sewing machine. :) Love that first photo! Great perspective.

Thank you for linking up with Wild & Wonderful Wednesday!

Oh WOW!! I would love to get my Janome serviced so I can complete the hand-pieced American quilt I started years ago (I decided to do the final part by machine as I am unable to sew by hand any more)
