Christchurch Cathedral, May 2008.
This beautiful cathedral is no longer standing.
This is my tribute to the people of Christchurch, who are still rebuilding their lives
from the ruins of last year's devastating earthquakes.
We were lucky to be able to visit this amazing place, back in 2008,
and we are looking forward to going there again soon.

A lovely tribute Nadege. Love the light in this image. It must be quite a rebuilding process going on in New Zealand now. Thank you for sharing this meaningful piece with us at Photo Art Friday.
Beautiful photo! I am sad to hear it is no longer standing. We were there several years ago ... it is gorgeous!
A beautiful church and a beautiful tribute. Very nice texture work!
What a beautiful church. So sad it is gone.. Your photo is beautiful and I love the texture..
Hugs, Linda
There's great power in this photo with all the lines reaching towards the skies.
Magnificent image - the angle is wonderful and so is the edit.
I meant to say how much I like your header/banner. Beautiful.
FABULOUS image....it is no longer standing because of the earthquake or some other reason...
Inquiring minds wanna know.
My art today is a QUILTED MOSAIC ROSE if you'd care to use my direct link. Have a glorious Friday.
What a great image! Love the processing too - good job. Thanks for the visit.
Gorgeous church,
gorgeous compositional angle,
gorgeous texture processing!
A fantastic photo and beautifully edited. You make this beautiful church live on.
so sad, the demise of that lovely church (I've seen it myself many years back), and the surrounds too. Lovely texture background Nadege. Shame I'm just not spreading myself far enough these days to make it to this meme for the moment.
Beautiful tribute to this church and gorgeous piece of architexture. How sad that it was lost. Your use of texture worked well for this photo.
It is very beautiful, I hope they restore it.
Greetings,
Filip
What a beautiful photo Nadege, and I love the texture you chose for it.
Sending you wishes for a wonderful weekend.
Beautiful work!
A dramatic image. The earthquake must have been devastating. Unlike floods or even bush fires, you have warning at all.
Gorgeous shot and angle of this church. The processing is so rich and artistic.
Oh makes me sad to think that beautiful building was destroyed...so glad you got this lovely photo and the art work is stunning!!
Very nice post-processing.
Regards and best wishes
the church is now preserved in your image. :)
What a wonderful tribute your image is.
A lovely image, great angle and texture too.
What a stunning church (similar to St Andrew's Anglican in Brisbane) and so sad that it was destroyed in the earthquakes. How blessed you were to have seen it and to have the memories of it.
A lovely post and tribute :)
Absolutely gorgeous color and light!! Love how you processed this!
Beautiful processing. A lovely tribute.
