The Grey...Adelaide 3DE
This wonderful horse fell at the next fence.
A full contingency of helpers were on hand to help him and the rider.
The rider was ok but the horse had a leg injury which was attended to by the vet.
Cold water was use to bring his temperature down, before he was placed on the horse-float
to take him back to the stables, for further veterinary attention.

On our return from Carrick Hill, we stopped at this city parkland where horses are allowed to graze.
You can see the Adelaide Hills in the background and Adelaide CBD is not far from here.

The Big Bay...
Caught this big boy going through his paces at the Gawler Horse Show back in August 2010. I just love the look of him with the sun shining on his red coat. I purposely kept the man out of focus and frame to keep the viewer's eye on the horse.
I had to go food shopping today; that is one of the things I certainly didn't miss when I was on holiday.

Showjumping at Mallala....
Took this shot a while back at the Mallala Equestrian Centre. Spending most of my time riding, I never really had the time or chance to take" Horse in Action" shots. Took a while to get my eye in but I was quite happy with the result. A little time spent in Photoshop to add the radial blur. I like the feel of the horse popping up at you over the fence.
