In Loving Memory...

A year has gone since Mum passed away after a major stroke. She had just turned 86.

Today we all got together for lunch and had a wonderful time reminiscing.

This shot was taken at the Banrock Station in the Riverland.

Unfortunately for this Eucalyptus tree, the rain has come too late.

Artistic Endeavour...

Trying my hand at something different. 

The Celtic Knot Circle was first designed on graph paper with the help of a tutorial I found at Wet Canvas.

The central piece was trace from an image (author unknown) found in George Bain's book of Celtic Art.

The whole thing was then transferred onto cartridge paper using a light box,

 and inked with a Sharpie pen.

The words were then added, written in Uncial Hand.

In Awe of Trees...

Here in Australia, we have some amazing looking trees. These gums and eucalyptus trees do not lose their leaves in winter but some shed their barks. They sometime have to survive either long droughts or heavy floods.
